The "fold equity needed" is how often the villain must fold for a zero-equity bluff to profit: B/(B+P). The last column is the pot odds YOUR bet offers them.

How it works
Choosing a bet size is choosing two numbers at once. First: what fold percentage you need for the bet to profit as a pure bluff — B/(B+P), 33% for half pot, 50% for full pot. Second: what pot odds you offer your opponent — the price YOU set on their draws. This calculator shows both for the standard sizes and any custom percentage, so you stop betting "what sounds right" and start betting with intent.
Frequently asked questions
Why is small (⅓) betting so common today?
Because with a range advantage a third-pot bet only needs ~25% folds to pay for itself, and all your hands — strong and missed — benefit from the cheap price. The course c-bet lesson covers it.
What is fold equity?
The value you gain when the villain folds. A pot-sized bluff bets 100 to win 100: it needs a fold half the time just to break even.
